Foods For Candida DietBelow is a list of safe foods typically approved for occasional or regular consumption for patients with Candida. For personal health and food advice, consult your doctor. Safe Foods For Candida PatientsThese include: onions and garlic, fresh vegetables (eg. cabbage, broccoli, turnips, brussel sprouts, kohlrabi), rice cakes, oat cakes, corn tortillas, tacos, Ryvita (sesame/original), soy milks, butter, cottage cheese and yogurt, freshly cracked nuts, seeds, water, fruit and herb teas, cold pressed oils, brown rice and brown flours, oats (eg. porridge), meats (chicken, lamb or veal), fresh fish (esp. oily fish), shellfish, eggs, lentils, peas and beans. Choose organic varieties where possible. Safe BreadsIn addition, if you suffer from Candida, you may eat homemade breads using wholegrain flour with baking powder/soda for leavening. Examples: muffins, biscuits, pancakes, chapatis, Irish soda bread. Healthy Drinks for Candida PatientsInclude: water, vegetable broth, fresh vegetable juice, herbal teas Foods to Eat OccasionallyThese include: fruits in small amounts, raw seeds, dry beans and legumes, millet, brown rice, buckwheat and yellow cornmeal and baked potatoes. Cheeses lower in lactose may be tolerated, such as Monterey Jack, swiss, mozzarella, Colby and provolone.
